Hello. I'm Spencer Sells of NetApp. Today, I'll show you four easy steps to kick off and improve your company's sustainability efforts. When I talk to customers, many of you just don't know where to get started. So let's get going. Step one measure where you are and set goals. When you start your sustainability journey, you must first understand your current situation by identifying the operations and infrastructure that contribute most to your carbon footprint. Don't worry if you can't perfectly capture everything at first. Measure what you can measure more and more effectively as you go. Tools like NetApps Blue XP Sustainability Dashboard can provide you with a reliable overview of your infrastructure's impact. Once you understand your current impact, you can set realistic and achievable goals. Starting small and expanding as you refine your methodology. Remember, if you can't measure it, you can't manage it. Step two Connect your sustainability improvements in IT to your overall corporate goals. If sustainability is just a pet project, it may lack momentum and fade away. But if you align it to larger corporate objectives, it gains staying power. Organizations around the world, including NetApp, have found that driving sustainability can positively impact the bottom line by allowing you to meet the requirements of your customers, improving revenue and reducing operating expenses. In addition, sustainability efforts can also help you attract and retain employees people. step three Empower those employees. You'll be surprised to find how many people in different departments are already taking action. By fostering connections, you can create a network of support, share ideas and collaborate on larger initiatives. At NetApp, we have the Sustainability Innovation Group where volunteers do exactly that. The group is a bottoms up, employee driven team driving Sustainability improvements across the company far faster than we could have imagined. And step four, find reliable partners who will be with you every step of the journey. Insist that your vendors make verifiable commitments and efforts. Empty promises and greenwashing will not cut it. This is a serious issue that requires real changes. At NetApp we are committed to science aligned targets, externally verifiable actions, and leading by example. We, NetApp, have gone through extensive innovations to take sustainability seriously and offer real solutions to you, our customers. No greenwashing, just real sustainability improvements.
