Okay, before we start, I just want to say I spent about three or four years of my life helping customers deploy VMware on NetApp and that was a really fun job because we had a lot of value that we delivered [music] and uh and customers really were very eager to talk to us. So that was a long time ago and VMware has changed significantly as has NetApp uh but we are making some pretty big investments and commitments with them to deliver more customer value. So please help me understand what's changed, why now and why NetUP. >> Yes. So building upon that 20-year relationship with VMware and building deep integration um with VMware and NetApp technology, last year VMware opened up their roadmap to third-party storage vendors like NetApp. [music] And what this is doing and why they're doing this is to allow more choice for their customers. and they chose NetApp for an initial solution um to build upon our mature cloud services here at NetApp. So, we're putting together a solution that's really interesting andbuilding upon those mature cloud services to help our customers get to the cloud faster and more economically. Yeah, and certainly you're right. We have a lot of customers who've been very successful moving their applications to virtualized environments and now they're sort of struggling with you not being able necessarily to move all those apps to cloud native and what do they do if they're trying to take advantage [music] of cloud. So will we have a compelling message to help those customers actually [music] um get to the value of cloud? We've learned from our customers that moving these storage [music] heavy and data inensive workloads to the cloud has become really cumbersome and it's really not economical as it stands today. You can do it but it takes a lot of refactoring for the applications and um it'snot cost effective. So what we're doing is building a solution with VMware and the three major hyperscalers to move these workloads to the cloud seamlessly and very economically. Yeah, I want to drill down into something you said, the three major hyperscalers. Uh we talk a lot to our customers about the fact that we want to give them consistent services regardless of the cloud vendor, [music] cloud provider that they choose. Um so can you tell us a little bit more about that aspect?Yeah, you know that NetApp is really the only infrastructure vendor in the marketplace that has mature cloud services with all three of the public um cloud providers [music] and we're leveraging thatwe've built upon for the solution with VMware. So now we're taking this to um an aVMware [music]solution to help get these workloads to the cloud no matter which cloud that you choose. [music] choose. [music] choose. [music] Sandra, this is very exciting and for our customers that are intrigued about uh this set of offerings, how would they remain informed and [music] learn more? Yes. So, this program is moving from private preview into a public type preview over the next couple months and then GA later this year. So, if you're interested in um putting your toe in the water and testing this out in the preview program, then contact your rep and we'd be happy to vet you and get you started.
