BlueXP is now NetApp Console
Monitor and run hybrid cloud data services
[music]Hello. Hi, here's Spear Wolf. I'm AI solution architect from NetApp. I'm here with Ralph Stocker. He is sales specialist from Nvidia and we like to talk a bit about our partnership and AI in special. >> So, yeah, welcome. >> So, it was a pleasure. We just meet some days ago and I could feel this directly bondage between you from Nvidia andme and as we talked about uh our technologies and our st what do you think is behind what make it soeasy ornice to consume? >> That's a good question. Thank you. Thank you very much by the way and thank you very much for being here. So hi everybody. My name is Locker specialist and by the way whatdoes it make so successful? I would say that it's the great partnership, a long-term partnership uh and in a really long period of time. I mean we have the best products, world-class products and combining those technologies that does definitely make a difference and that's what it all about. I mean you come froma data perspective if you look from a data perspective to such solution which we're providing to our customers and partners then it would perfectly make sense to match those worldass technologies together to one single product and technology and solution stake. Yeah, that that's the beauty and we proved it by certification and validation and over the long year cooperation with each other and going out to the customers and even also today we're talking about Nvidia AI enterprise where it fits into the hybrid cloud architecture that we can provide with the data management what we have with our blue XP for example and thehigh reputation you have with your stack the NGC stack and everything from Nvidia. >> Yeah, exactly. I mean you've just mentioned an Nvidia enterprise the product itself it's fantastic product we call it the operating system for AI workloads thebasically reason for that is to give customers a really low level entry into the AI project market. We want to see that more and more customers are adopting AI projects into reality into production. Uh the point here is that we try to make it as easy as possible. you can set up it on basic hardware on mainstream hardware so to say and on the other hand you will get full support for the whole stick and that does include NetApp of course as well um the point here is that we're going providing support not only for the data scientist side or for the AI practitioners but as well for theinfrastructure teams and that's a really huge benefit because with this step we can definitely make sure that everybody gets some support and we make sure that it will be a success and is not stucking somewhere in some kind of a step or something like that. Um and you've just named as well theum the frameworks and the software kits. I mean that definitely makes a difference. So my thought initially is always around why should I reinvent the wheel >> because it's already there. I can just use it out of the box and this is what we do with the frameworks and this is what we're doing together with our software technology stack. We do not reinvent a wheel. The customer partners do not reinvent something new. They can use existing technologies. They can use existing products which perfectly fit together.>> Yeah. What I also like is that we uh developed the same kind of feeling and interest as we developed the data ops toolkit. We g get into the mindset of the data scientists, the data engineers, what they need, what they do, how can they easy consume our data fabric, our data, how they can move them, manipulate them, uh protect them, uh use them in different type of scalar, but not also we not only providing infrastructure and help them, but NetApp also is doing we have baked in AI in a lot of our products and that make it also easy. That means we have data scientists inhouse. We have the products that are based on this intelligence and so uh we understand people because we build products out of it. You have the same and this is what I get is this special feeling there. The clue is real. >> Absolutely. And because of this knowledge, customers and partners can use this knowledge and I said they do not need to reinvent the wheel and combining the technology stacks that perfectly makes sense. And as you already mentioned, you've baked in AI and different solutions and products of course. So that does make it easy for customers to adopt it and that does make it even easier touse the consume the software and the different pieces. And from a partnership perspective, I would say that itperfectly makes sense because we have similar approaches and our GPUs needs data definitely and AI projects need data. So we need to make sure that we have a secure and reliable level of data uh consumption so to say on this stick and this is perfectly fine matched together with NetApp products. >> Yeah, thank you very much and thank you very much for your listening NetApp TV. It's worth to have a look into it. Great platform and see you soon. Thanks for watching NetApp's TV coverage of BMware Exploring Barcelona.
