Monitor and run hybrid cloud data services
Baptist [music] Health is a premier health care provider in South Florida providing a wide array of surgical, orthopedic, [music] orthopedic, [music] orthopedic, [music] sports injury, and cancer treatments to our patients. Our vision is to set a new gold standard in patient care [music] and really focus on providing the care to our patients when, where, and how they want to receive that care. Part of our digital transformation [music] meant transforming our virtual desktop infrastructure which is used by all of our providers on a daily basis to provide care. We wanted to modernize our data, make it more resilient and [music] protected and secure the data at the same time. We chose Microsoft [music] Azure to be the cloud home for VDI along with VMware Horizon to be the platform [music] that sat inside of that. Due to the importance of always keeping this environment up, I needed tools [music] that typically weren't available or were cost prohibitive. I saw an opportunity to improve on the way that it was done was able to reach out to NetApp and say, [music] "I've got an idea for this. It's not a question of whether it'll work or not. The bigger question is, can I get it supported?" Thanks to the relationship that NetApp, [music] Microsoft, and VMware have, I was able to work with all three parties to take a reference architecture [music] from VMware, leverage a new tool which was Azure NetApp Files, get the solution [music] validated and supported in less than 30 days. And if it wasn't for that relationship, [music] that wouldn't be possible.
Azure NetApp Files helps Baptist Health to modernize their data, make it more resilient, and keep it protected and secure.
