storage grid 11.9 introduces configurable storage limits at the Bucket Level this feature is great for storage administrators that need to set granular storage quotas or offer limit setting to tenants without grid admin credentials storage grid already supports tenant storage limits set by the grid administrator and 11.9 introduces bucket storage limits set by the tenant administrator similar to tenant limits the bucket capacity limit is based on The Logical storage consumption of the bucket so ilm overhead is not counted towards the limit now let's log into the storage grid tenant manager and configure some bucket storage limits now from the tenant manager bucket overview page I'll start by selecting My Demo bucket to configure the capacity limit I'll click the bucket options tab click capacity limit check enable capacity limit and now we can enter our limit I'm going to set a 5 gigabyte capacity limit on this bucket we can change or disable the capacity limit at any time in the future now I've uploaded some data to the demo Bucket from the S3 console you can see the capacity limit usage here in the bar at the top looks like the data I uploaded put us at 100% now I'm going to try to upload an object since we're over the limit the put request failed thank you for watching
