Monitor and run hybrid cloud data services
Cancer is the leading cause of disease related death in young Australian children, and indeed the leading cause of death in the developed world. Over the past seven years, we've been able to molecularly profile nearly 2000 young Australians, and that's generated petabytes of information by its large and disparate with large genomic data, plus health data plus outcome data. Through our partnership with NetApp over the past seven years, we've been able to build a hybrid cloud, which we believe is the first digital precision medicine ecosystem in Australia, and that's allowed us to integrate all these different disparate data types together and conduct research into why children develop cancer in the first place, identify new therapeutic targets, and ultimately achieve the outcome, achieve our goal of one day curing all children with cancer.
For the past seven years, the Children's Cancer Institute (CCI) has partnered with NetApp to create the first digital precision medicine ecosystem in Australia, building on a shared vision to combat childhood cancer.
