Monitor and run hybrid cloud data services
(bright upbeat music) As more of our sensitive information is stored in hybrid multi-cloud environments, the risk of data breaches increases. Just one incident can cause serious damage to a company's reputation. Hi, I'm Tom Shields. On today's Intelligence Report, building customer confidence, and by extension, your brand. Mignona and Dave are joining me now. Folks, in a recent survey, 31% of consumers said they did not trust enterprises to handle their personal information responsibly. How do we turn this around and earn consumer trust? Ultimately, it comes down to transparency.and how you think about the controls you put in place, how you actually enforce those controls, and most importantly, how you can prove that you're actually doing what you say you're going to do, right? So much of this is so important, and that's why you see companies investing in things like trust centers and compliances and showing customers that they're being responsible about their data. Transparency, Mignona, does that ring true for you? It does. I like the concept of trust centers, letting the customers have full access to the assurance reports that you have, as well as doing continuous monitoring of your environment and sharing the output with your customers so they know that you're staying abreast of what's happening within your operations. I as a customer will know all the compliance, metrics that you can meet as a company. You can, and then also through continuous monitoring, know that I'm sustaining the environment that's been tested. What other automation can we put in place to maintain compliance and maintain integrity of personal information? One of the things from the hyperscalers, they have what's called conformance packs, built to align to actually the security standards and the different frameworks, and so you can deploy the conformance packs, which simply are the settings to align to these security frameworks built in the code and you just deploy it into your environment. And so that is also something that a customer could discover by reading it in your trust center? Yes, you would absolutely put that as a key control that you have in your environment is that you're relying on the conformance packs, and then show through continuous monitoring, the usage of those conformance packs. Perfect. Thank you. Those are valuable tips. In our Cybersecurity series, we also talk about addressing the talent gap and the expanded threat landscape, so please join us.
