Hello and welcome to this short overview of the S3 application setup wizard new in storage grid 117 in the storage grid 117 GUI. The S3 application wizard can always be accessed from the top bar of the GUI. The S3 application setup wizard allows you to create and download all the information required to successfully configure your S3 application to access storage grid. First, you will create a high availability group. If you have more than one gateway, the HA group would facilitate the non-disruptive failover between gateways. In this lab, there's only one gateway. So, we will select that instance. The HA group has a virtual IP address that you will specify here. This will be the IP address that your application will use to connect to storage grid. We will now create an endpoint. This endpoint will provide S2 support on port 10444. I will accept the defaults and move on to generating a certificate matching my endpoint name and HA IP address. The certificate should include the endpoint information in these two forms in order to support both path [snorts] style and virtual hosted style access. There is no need to download the certificate as this information will be included in the final download file. Now we will create the tenant that will host the bucket for the application. I will provide the tenant name, a password and the bucket name. Downloading the configuration settings here is the key point. This file will contain important information required to connect to storage grid successfully. that includes the access point name, the certificate and the tenant information. Importantly, the S3 keys are not included here and have to be downloaded separately. The default LM rule is a two copy, which means that each object is stored in duplicate in the grid. It certainly behooves you to customize the policy to fit your business requirements. This concludes the demonstration of the S3 application wizard functionality new in storage grid 117.
