Oh.yeah. [music] Oh, yeah. I just thought it would be one of those awesome opportunities to introduce them to something new. What >> inspired me most about the program is once I saw the kids liking um the data, so they wanted to learn more. Um they were asking questions, they were intrigued.>> At first, data was intimidating. It really makes them dig deep and [music] think outside the box. It opens up the doors to see issues in the community.>> We studied lots of like new data that from different counties percentage of high school graduation rate and stuff explaining what can help you graduate high school. Our project was about the topic no poverty because poverty has become a severe problem that affects millions of life in India. From the graphs plotted many people living in rural areas face more poverty than people [music] living in urban areas. We observe that climate change affected urban Bangalore more compared to the rural districts because of too much air pollution and cutting of trees. My favorite part of data exposure when we got to look at the charts though the poverty rate has reduced over past few years there are many people who still suffer due to poverty after the experience I say I realized that [music] there are problems that we can fix and I know that I'm making a difference I didn't expect such you know amazing feedback and interaction [music] and hands-on theyhave vision. So, it's beenreally nice. [music]>> I feel like that the program has like really shown a light on who I can be and how I can help people. >> It has given the kids an opportunity to do something they [music] thought they would never like. What I learned from this program is that data matters and you can use data for whatever part of any lesson to help kids learn. So basically if I would have described data explorers in one word it would have been like mind-blowing.
