My job is to oversee everything related to data storage, whether it's mainframe, open system, or cloud. I've been with the bank for 24 years, 22 of which have been in IT. Banco do Brasil is a part of the daily lives of all Brazilians. Our challenge is to always deliver the best solution to our client as quickly as possible. And the solutions that NetApp provides help us save a lot of time. With the set of APIs that NetApp offers, we can deliver infrastructure as a service. Reducing the time it takes to get a given application up and running, bringing a competitive advantage to the bank. The biggest challenge we had was actually the migration. If we hadn't automated the storage, it would have taken longer than a year. And we managed to do this in just under three months. NetApp proved to be a company that really fit into our strategy. Today we have eight people developing exclusively on the NetApp platform, offering storage as a service to our end users. StorageGRID is part of my area of expertise. It brought brand new features, such as CORS and S3 Select, which did not exist before, that were in high demand in our development areas. The fastest growing environments at Banco do Brasil today are the Kubernetes and object storage environments, both of which run on NetApp. Due to the digital transformation, the Kubernetes and object storage applications have exploded. We are also running artificial intelligence on the NetApp platform. NetApp supports us by offering a reliable, resilient platform that offers high availability for our applications. One thing that makes us very proud is that even though we are a public bank, we are one of the most profitable banks in Brazil today. Because we know how difficult it is to compete with private partners who have more flexibility, it's a source of great pride.
