BlueXP is now NetApp Console
Monitor and run hybrid cloud data services
Hi, my name is Tim Gautreau. I'm a tech marketing engineer for NetApp, and today I'll be walking you through a guided setup on System Manager. (upbeat music) All right, to start out with, you just enter the IP address of one of your nodes into your browser of choice, and it'll take you through the cluster setup page. Once you are at the system setup page, you will enter the information such as the cluster name, the cluster administrator password, and the IP information. Once you've entered the information in the system, you just scroll down and hit the submit button. Once you hit the submit button, please wait a few moments for the configuration process to finish and continue to the next step. All right, once the cluster configuration completes, you'll be automatically redirected to the setup page for the system. You'll have to log in using the information that you provided at setup. (music continues) All right, you will be redirected to the dashboard once you've logged in. From there the first thing you'll need to do is set up the local tiers. So, click the prepare storage button, and the local tiers will be set up on your system. (music continues) Once the tiers have been set up, you'll have to add your license keys for whatever feature you would like to use. Now some systems come pre-configured with licenses, other systems you will have to add the license yourself. If yours is not pre-configured, simply click add your license keys and you can add the license keys directly there. Once the license keys have been added, we are now ready to add our storage. So, for adding the storage, you will just have to click the configure protocols button and you will set up whatever protocol you are licensed for. In our instance, we are going to enable iSCSI, so now I will add all the information for configuring iSCSI on this system. All right, once we've entered our configuration information, we will now have our SVM, and our IP information entered. Simply click on the save button to continue. All right, once our protocols have been configured, we click on the provision storage button to add our storage. In this case we are adding iSCSI LUN, so we'll click the add LUNs button. In this case we will add our LUN name, the number of LUNs, and the initiator of the system. Once you have entered that information, click the save button to create your LUN. (music continues) And just like that, setup is complete. We do understand that this is just the beginning of the journey, but NetApp has made it extremely simple to manage your systems from a single pane with BlueXP, in which you can also automatically tier cold data, improve data governance and security, back up to the cloud. Thank you for watching, and thank you for trusting NetApp with all your data needs. (music continues)
