BlueXP is now NetApp Console
Monitor and run hybrid cloud data services
Certainly. Thanks, Michael. Thanks, Michael. Thanks, Michael. And look, firstly, appreciate the warm intro from Kathy and Peter. Uh, really grateful to be addressing the, uh, Fujitsu executive leadership team today. Um, you know, I guess before I get started into this, I just wanted to clear up u what I call the elephant in the room. We, as in NetUP, we're not here to sell you a new box of discs. This may sound counterintuitive to hear this from essentially a hardware vendor where our position in that IDC revenue numbers show that NetApp is growing year and year on this market space. But uh thereality is that it's NetApp's new identity which is the driving force behind the market growth of what I'll call our legacy business. So today I want to leave you all with an understanding that is this new ident what this new identity is all about and how as a strategic partner with NetApp Fujitsu is arguably in my opinion the best place global system integrator on the planet to take advantage of this there. So the new identity I refer to um it started a few years back when we uh essentially leveraged our software defined architecture and married it with this new phenomena which we now call the cloud and this started us all on a journey to redefine NetApp as a cloud-led datacentric software company and you know um as it's been as I've been reminded how old I am already on this call I've been at NetApp for 10 years now and I can say it's been one hell of a it's um the netup of today is almost unrecognizable to the net I started up 10 years ago and so you know but I guess the whilst that market and our shareholders have responded very well to that the biggest issue that we continue to face is with this transformation is one of managing perception and um so I guess NetUP is we've got a first mover advantage into a space where um I believe that we're still the only player there is no other company that I'm aware of that uh you can compare NetUP to and as a result we do encounter a lot of misinformation and misunderstanding of what it is what the hell does NetApp do and um these sessions that we've created for you today are designed to give you a better appreciation of whatit is and that your global partnership with NetApp can be Fujitsu's secret weapon in this era of cloud and digital transformation. So let's have a look at an approach that we can take using essentially what we've got on the truck today. Um just forward this slide a little bit. When it comes to uh cloud optimization, NetApp is not likely one of the first vendors that comes to your mind, right? Um what's interesting about this is only a few months ago a report released by amagazine called GigaM they rated NetApp's capability in this space as quote unquote exceptional is NetUP is the leading vendor in the growing CMP or cloud management platform category in terms of both enterprise and service provider capability. This in my opinion is a big should be a big deal for Fujitsu given like we have strength of our existing partnership for one we're also running some interesting pro for value improvement concepts in Sweden UK US there's also automation projects related to the cloud optimization and GDC'sum I'm hopeful that we will see some of Netup's value in this space present in Ubad solutions verysoon but I What does this mean for today? Um, we've designed a five-part strategy which will help reshape the way that Fujitsu engages with NetApp now and into the future and will help to broaden our relevance across your entire business. It starts with that analysis assessment advisory services. There are a number of ways that we can participate in these co-creation ideiation stages with your clients. Last just last week for example, we gave your um infrastructure solutions pre-sales team some training on ways in which you can land new business by leveraging their tools and capabilities in this space. Um think of it like the entree to the main course. These are foundational services that are critical as they establish that first impressions and set the tone of what's to come. Secondly, um cloud migration. I mean and this is really where Net's pedigree comes into play. Netris still presents the lowest risk for data migration to either cloud or other on-prem environments and not to mention this whole new concept of multicloud architectures or blueprints. Nerf's firstparty storage services in the public cloud to remove the complexity and the risk associated with no matter where your clients want to run their workloads and um you know but in the past this is typically where NetApp's business would have stopped right tactical migration a storage sale thanks Netup we'll see you in 3 years on a refresh renewal whatever happens to be but today things are very different cuz this is just where we're getting started in the next segment I've invited Floren and Floren is going to present to you on the importance of flexible consumption based models um that can be used as a foundation for the development of you know that continuous development of services like an evergreen um sort of pathway of future uh new managed services that we can add into that after Floren um yeah we will dig into the next areawhich we'll or you know the Phops space and for PHOPS is a growing market space obviously but it's the opportunity is huge um ifyou ask any clients that's you know most clients these days are running some workloads in the cloud how they're dealing with PinOps they're going to tell you yeah we've got it in hand but it's often a single person in a cloud BU who's tracking cost by spreadsheets with disparit tools maybe they're relying on the cloud provider to provide or produce use spending and usage information. This is not what PHOPS is or what it should be. It's a really important uh for as a service provider to help your clients get this right. And this is where NetApp spot portfolio comes in. It's designed inherently for managed service providers and can help Fujisu gather data on cloud spending, where it's spent, who it's being spent by, as well as just the utilization elements. There are data we can collect on overprovisioning, help identify new opportunities for optimization or automation, security compliance. There's to meet regulatory requirements. There's a heap of stuff that we can do with Fujitsu in this space. And without these level of insights, I think you've got uh that collectively got very limited chance of getting anywhere near that next bubble, right? Automation is going to be the key in the future to helping your clients reduce costs, meet the sustainability goals, and is the foundation for digital transformation. Uh CXO, business leaders alike are well aware of this, but they often have no idea how to deliver it. So, I've got Dave on here after, you know, after um to uh talk a little aboutour spot portfolio and how it can really accelerate Fujitsu's time to value in both of these spaces. Altogether, this strategy enables Fujitsu to help your clients um to extract value on from the cloud as opposed to just keeping the lights on. When you can save your clients potentially millions of dollars per year, this gives Fujitsu an incredible amount of power to leverage for reinvestment, improving margin, present ways that you can sort of drive and drive new business opportunities overall. So that's all for me for now. Uh but I'll see you again a little bit later where on the panel discussion uh withMicrosoft. But for now, I'll hand it back to Michael. Thank you.
