Arindam is NetApp’s first Technical Fellow. He is also the Chief Architect, VP of NetApp Platforms and leads the technology vision, strategy and architecture for NetApp. He is currently spearheading the architecture and design for next generation of AI infrastructure and AI data platforms. Arindam has more than 25 years of experience in distributed storage infrastructure and data platforms. He has been in NetApp for 19 years and has championed many innovations in the areas of filesystems, distributed storage, and AI. Arindam has authored/co-authored more than 50 patents and patent publications that have received over 500 citations for reference in the field of computer data systems and technology.
Shiva Subramanyam is the Vice President of AI Engineering at NetApp. With more than 16 years of expertise in developing large-scale distributed backend systems, Shiva spearheads the engineering efforts behind NetApp's cutting-edge solutions in AI, governance, and Kubernetes. His team is dedicated to advancing NetApp's mission to create the next-generation AI data engine, focusing on guardrails, governance, cloud-native, and AI-driven insights across enterprise storage. This work aids organizations in accelerating their AI journey in a compliant and secure manner. Before joining NetApp, Shiva held senior engineering positions at Salesforce, where he led cloud-native transformations and scaled resilient infrastructure for thousands of customers worldwide.

Across roles, he has repeatedly spotted high-impact opportunities, set vision and roadmaps, developed world-class teams, and forged product and partner ecosystems that have delivered breakthrough innovation. His work spans product strategy, design, UX, data platforms, and GTM, consistently turning new technology into durable customer value at global scale.
