In this demo, we are going to demonstrate how to connect multiple devices to Cisco Intersight, which will grant us increased visibility on our FlexPod solution. To claim Interite Assist, we will need to have our browser pointed to our Interite Assist appliance. On the inter sight web page, navigate to admin, select targets, and click the claim a new target button. Select Cisco Intersight Assist, then click the start button. Copy the device ID from the Interite Assist page and paste it into the device ID field. Repeat this for the claim code. Once both fields are filled in, click the claim button. You should receive a notification indicating that Interet Assist has been claimed successfully. From the admin section of Insight, select targets. Then click the claim a new target button. Under categories, scroll down and select the radio button for storage. Select NetApp Active IQ Unified Manager. Then click the Start button. Select the previously configured enter assist and enter the host name or IP address for AIQUMalong with the maintenance user account and password. In this example, we are using a host name with a maintenance user of maint. Once the credentials have been filled in, click the claim button. This generates a task that indicates claim in progress. After a few moments, refresh the page and you should see that AIQum has been connected successfully. From the admin section of inner sight, select targets. Then click the claim a new target button. Under categories, select the compute fabric radio button. Then select Cisco UCS domain UCSM managed. Of note, if you're connecting X series, use Cisco UCS domain interite managed.Pull up the UCS manager page. Select the admin tab at the bottom of the left frame. Then select device connector near the bottom of the menu. Copy the device ID from the inner sight assist page and paste it into the device ID field. Repeat this for the claim code. Once both fields have been filled in, click the claim button, which should give a notification that it has been successfully claimed. From the admin section of insight, select targets, then click the claim a new target button. Select the hypervisor radio button, then select VMware vsenter. Click the start button. Enter the host name or IP address of the vsenter server. the local administrator account and the password. Once the credentials have been filled in, click the claim button. This generates a task that indicates claim in progress. After a few moments, refresh the page and it should show that VSCenter is connected. With all the devices claimed, we are now ready to create a flex pod. Under operate, select solutions and click the create solution button. Select FlexPod infrastructure and click the start button. Enter a name for the FlexPod solution with optional fields for tags and description and then click next. Select the UCS domain that we claimed previously, then click next. Select the storage array, then click next. Review and confirm that the correct devices have been selected. Then click on the create button. After a few moments, the new FlexPod deployment should show up under solutions.I hope you enjoyed this tech demo. Thank you for watching.
