BlueXP is now NetApp Console
Monitor and run hybrid cloud data services
Hey, what's up? Good afternoon everyone. I just exited the general session key in BNware Explore. Okay, I'm going to do a top five things list and I'll do them in reverse order so that you have until the end of the video if you want to know what the big announcement is. What did I like? What has been said most, especially about how BNWare is trying to create community among DevOPs teams, platforms, infrastructure operations, both on-premises and in the cloud, okay? And security, all in one, is necessary, okay? Companies are currently trying to start that journey to the cloud and cloudfacies, okay? But what's going on? We have a lack of skills in the development teams, okay? When we want to move an application and we want to do that refactoring, it seems simple, but it is not. And sometimes we would spend a couple of years even moving certain applications that we thought we were going to move in months. And especially fragmented operations. We cannot have teams working on- premises, teams in the cloud with different skill sets. If you want to mix more clouds, you even have to learn new things. That is almost completely unfeasible. Okay? So, this is where what is called cloud chaos begins, and at Bingware I really liked the concept of cloud chaos, that is, chaos in the cloud is what we do n't want to have and now, today, only 10% of spending on enterprise IT is in the cloud, so there is still a long way to go. Okay, here begins my top five, okay? The fifth thing that seems most important to me is the energy transformation, the movement towards sustainability, towards green energy. How can we reduce that energy expenditure? It is expected that by 2030 we will have an increase of more than 200% in the consumption of these Big Cloud Companies and Enterprise IT Storage. Okay? What's happening? That is not sustainable. We need to somehow flatten that curve a bit and reduce it, okay? And one way to do that is to start by optimizing resource consumption. We don't want CPUs at 60% ever again. My fourth point is the preview of the Nostat project, okay? Your safety is all about your infrastructure, okay? You have the network, I don't care where your applications reside, whether it's on- premises or in the cloud, okay? It's the NSX, new generation, zero appliances, zero tickets, zero trust, okay? Clear message. In number three I have what we call the cloud smart strategy, okay? Such as the intelligent use of the cloud. Because?I don't want to have silos, okay? I don't want isolated environments; I want everything to communicate with everyone. I want to reduce complexity, and above all, I don't want different teams working on the same thing simply because the infrastructure it runs on is different, okay? That's why I like it, and Bienware has the concept of cross-cloud CR and being able to manage your entire infrastructure, and I don't really care where it's running. That's the power of BNware. In second place, and this is very important with BNware Tanzu Application Platform 1.3, is the BNware Tab, okay? What allows me to run any load of cubernet containers anywhere I want in iCloud or even on-premises, okay? Yes, included in AWS, okay? This is important and not an advertisement. Why do I like this point? Because Netap has been doing this for decades, okay? We used to provide storage directly to servers, then we moved on to being able to work with virtual machines in an obviously efficient way, and now we are at that point in the world of cubenets. We are undergoing these transformations and we are improving along the way. That's why I think it's very important and very aligned. Okay? What's happening? Why is this important? Because we have Astra Control. Astra Control, as you know, is a suite for managing all your cubennet-based environments . And what about Tanzu? I can integrate it and work both in the pre-premises world and in any of the cloud providers or in a private cloud, okay? Therefore, even data control and DR architectures for your container-based applications. And finally, and of course most importantly, the announcement of BNW Cloud's support for NFS data stores for FSXN, FSX for Netap Ontap. As you know, FSXN is the software version offered as a service on AWS, with 30 years of experience in ETAP delivered directly as a service in less than 20 minutes. You have it deployed. Why do I like this message? Now I can break that Bingware Cloud hyperconvergence. What do I gain from that? Reduce those costs. Normally the loads are not linear and I may have more storage requirements than I have for computing. Why is this important, and why do I want to end the message with this? Because at ETAP we're not only doing this in Web Services with BNW Cloud, but also in Azure with NIF, Azure Net ETAP Files, okay? And the virtualization part of BNWare, and we also have it at Google with the Google Cloud BNware Engine, okay? And we can connect it to a simple Cloud Volume Service volume. Netap is ultimately just that. Freedom office. The choice is yours. We allow it. Greeting.
