Google Cloud NetApp Volumes, a fully managed file storage service in Google Cloud that provides high-performance, enterprise-grade file storage, announces a private preview integration with Gemini Enterprise. In preview, customers will be able to use their data in NetApp Volumes as a source to create datastores in AI Applications that can be used with the Gemini Enterprise application. Through this, their data is accessible to Gemini Enterprise to provide capabilities like chat, search, summarization, and multi-modal content generation based on their business and domain specific data.
Through this integration, the data hosted on NetApp Volumes has a native gateway to leverage the Google AI stack. Prior to this, customers had to maintain multiple copies of data for access by end users and by AI agents. This new functionality will streamline the process and reduce the need for duplicate and siloed data storage. By integrating NetApp Volumes with Gemini Enterprise, agents can now access data more efficiently and utilize it for various Generative AI-driven applications. This integration will also enable customers to create more sophisticated and tailored AI solutions, enhancing their overall experience with Gemini Enterprise.
