Announcing Google Cloud Assured Workloads regional data boundary support for Google Cloud NetApp Volumes across all regions and service levels. Assured workloads provides a robust solution for organizations to achieve data residency compliance in the cloud. This integration combines the compliance controls of Assured Workloads with the data management capabilities of Google Cloud NetApp Volumes, enabling organizations to deploy and manage compliant file storage with granular controls over data location, access, and encryption. Organizations can now automate compliance processes such as data residency enforcement and access control management, reduce risk and maintain consistency. They can also simplify compliance audits through comprehensive audit logging and monitoring features combined with NetApp's data management capabilities.
Prior to this, users were required to use file storage solutions that met Assured Workload framework requirements but were limited in their data protection capabilities or came with increased operational complexities.
