From complexity to competitive edge
What happens when critical backups of massive data sets that once took hours suddenly take seconds? In industries like banking, healthcare, and government, this leap forward isn’t just about speed — it lowers costs, frees up resources, and strengthens trust where resilience is non-negotiable. And with new offerings like S3-compatible cloud storage and AI-ready solutions on the horizon, IFX has prepared itself with a modern foundation to expand faster, deliver more value, and lead secure, next-generation services.
As one of only eight partners authorized to deliver broadcast VMware solutions, we stand apart through our 150,000-kilometer fiber network, 27 state-of-the-art data centers, comprehensive service portfolio, robust security operations, and a truly 360-degree customer-centric approach.

We were looking for one vendor that could cover all our needs in a single box. Storage, backup, replication; multiple protocols without needing multiple suppliers and prove it at a global scale.
Ezequiel Carson, Chief Technology Officer, IFX
Stunted scalability due to tech bloat
The need to constantly adapt IFX’s core solutions to interact with various customer platforms meant the use of multiple third-party vendors and technologies, resulting in continually rising costs. Additionally, without a singular system, applying changes and updates universally was not possible, resulting in impacts to customer backup processes.
“When you scale in terms of thousands of physical servers, you start dealing with problems on every layer of an architecture,” said Ezequiel Carson, chief technology officer at IFX. “It’s really complex to scale thousands of different customers without having a single technology, a single provider, or even a single way to manage all of these different solutions.”
Everything is in a single box. Before, we had to buy different boxes from different vendors. That consolidation of protocols and solutions has allowed us to launch massively, in parallel, in every country.

Accelerating recovery with NetApp AFF C-series
With NetApp® C-series systems, IFX has redefined speed, efficiency, and reliability for its customers. What once took hours to back up or restore now happens in seconds — delivering instant access to massive data sets while also reducing licensing costs.
With seamless Veeam integration and advanced snapshot capabilities, IFX can now provide customers with clear visibility and effortless restores at any scale. And by consolidating legacy and next-generation storage on a single platform, IFX has removed complexity and simplified customer environments.
Even the migration was effortless. Virtualized storage ensured zero service disruption, allowing clients to experience continuity. At the same time, IFX upgraded behind the scenes to deliver the performance, security, and compliance that enterprise clients in government, healthcare, and banking demand. Faster solution rollout and stronger data protection give these customers a competitive advantage, reinforcing IFX as the partner of choice in regulated industries.
Before ONTAP, we had to use technologies that created some delays and performance outages for the customer. With the new technology, the customer doesn’t even feel that we are taking a snapshot.
Ezequiel Carson, Chief Technology Officer, IFX
Since migrating to NetApp, IFX customer backups can run without any perceptible impact on their operations. Prior to ONTAP®, older technologies often caused delays and even performance outages during the backup process. With ONTAP, snapshots are virtually invisible to customers, ensuring business operations continue uninterrupted. Backup times have also decreased by as much as 80% for some IFX customers, depending on their data volume and how they process it.
“A retail customer was consolidating all their warehouse information and database every night; a process that was taking between seven and eight hours,” said Carson.” Most of this delay was created because of the process, but once we moved them from our old architecture to the new one, that process went to one and a half hours, and we’re talking about a huge database with terabytes of data.”
These customers have complete transparency into the backup process, with the ability to log in to a secure portal to view real-time snapshots, monitor reports, and track the time savings that have transformed backups from hours to just seconds. This visibility not only builds confidence but also reinforces the tangible improvements in performance that IFX delivers.
With this level of service, IFX is not only strengthening relationships with its existing customers but also expanding its reach across Latin America. By aligning with data centers throughout the region, IFX can seamlessly extend its solutions to organizations already operating on a NetApp infrastructure, making provisioning simple, accelerating time to market, and positioning IFX as the partner of choice for those seeking improved and more efficient data protection.
We are launching three new products: GPU as a service, AI as a service, and an inference solution. We can now touch every customer we have and help them on this digital transformation journey.

New offerings on a modernized foundation
IFX plans to unveil three new products soon, including GPU as a service, AI as a service, and an S3 storage solution known as Club Storage.
“It’s based on NetApp features for those customers who want to run cloud-native applications and have all the benefits that they get from our cloud solution,” said Carson. “This new cloud storage product is a great fit, because it matches perfectly with our Kubernetes solution.”
“Retail and FinTech have needed this kind of solution, and we’re also discussing it with our existing customer base,” added Dumit. “We can provide it very fast, very easily, and in a seamless way.”
Additional information is coming soon, but IFX is developing these new offerings with its signature customer-centric approach to ensure the best results. By accelerating every process and safeguarding every touchpoint, IFX isn’t just modernizing infrastructure: It’s reshaping how innovation reaches customers, with more breakthroughs just around the corner.
