Ransomware attacks continue to become more prevalent, and the attacks are ever more frequent. NetApp is continuing to advance its capabilities to protect and secure your data from threats that could marginalize your data and negatively affect your operations.

We continue to build upon our reputation as the leader in data protection, threat detection, and security to provide the safest place for you to store your data. Recent recognition highlighted in the 2023 GigaOm Sonars for ransomware protection and storage security continue to validate this claim.

Recovering from ransomware attacks

Earlier this year, NetApp announced our commitment to further protect your data with a Ransomware Recovery Guarantee—unique from an enterprise storage vendor. If you can’t recover your NetApp® Snapshot data after a ransomware attack, we’ll compensate you. We released this guarantee on two new products introduced this year, the NetApp AFF C-Series all-flash array with capacity flash drives and the NetApp ASA A-Series SAN-optimized all-flash array. That was just one more step along the journey.

New offerings to enhance data protection and security

NetApp is now announcing new products and services to continue to improve your ability to protect and secure data from natural disasters or manmade threats, such as ransomware attacks. As part of this announcement, we’re offering the following:

  • We’re delivering an addition to our NetApp Professional Services offerings, Ransomware Recovery Assurance. This service will help you affordably configure your essential data protection features, and it will provide data recovery during a ransomware incident. As an added benefit, it will qualify you for the Ransomware Recovery Guarantee. This offering comes at a lower price, making qualification for the Ransomware Recovery Guarantee more accessible. The existing Ransomware Protection and Recovery Service is still available for those customers who want a more comprehensive, white-glove managed experience.
  • We’re also enhancing the Ransomware Recovery Guarantee to include new purchases of all AFF, ASA, and FAS systems, including the newly announced ASA C-Series systems. This increase in scope for the guarantee provides greater choice for customers who want to deploy the industry’s most secure storage with the confidence of protecting their data against ransomware attacks.
  • The FlexPod® platform continues to lead the industry in converged infrastructure with a full hardware and software stack to host and manage your critical applications and data. We’re now enhancing our FlexPod portfolio with three new security offerings to help you better protect against cyberthreats and increase your security posture with secure full-stack tenancy and security hardening.
