In 2003, Chris was so happy as a NetApp customer, he decided to join the company as a Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) now responsible for all ONTAP hardware. In this role Chris supports sales with technical help, launches new hardware, and helps design next generation AFF and FAS hardware. Starting in 2022, Chris transitioned to a Technical Product Manager role but mostly performs the same job functions as the TME role. Chris has almost 30 years of industry experience and prior to NetApp held positions including motherboard chipset design, UNIX system admin work for various financial, high tech and retail companies, designing UNIX servers and underlying infrastructure deployed in ~2000 stores of a major supermarket chain, and a home entertainment start-up. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from California State University, Sacramento. In 2020 Chris was elected to the SNIA Board of Directors and served for three years.
