Monitor and run hybrid cloud data services
(gentle upbeat music) We look after 190 staff across Australia, servicing 110,000 members, and we are a not-for-profit health insurer. Our ethos is to put people and communities first, whether in regional centers or in the cities. Our service delivery and the speed of that service delivery is our entire focus. (gentle upbeat music continues) The key issues we were facing were both performance and capacity of our existing infrastructure. We struggled to deliver our applications in terms of speed but also performance, and the demand was ever-increasing and still is. We were looking for a high-performance, cost-effective solution to deliver our strategy over the next three to five years. We wanted a solution that would enable us to move workloads to the cloud without restriction and without difficulty of administration. (gentle upbeat music continues) The benefits to us of adopting the A-Series NetApp in simple terms is speed. It saves us somewhere in the region of $100,000 annually simply by reducing the wait times for our staff. It reduced wait time from 28 seconds down to one second. For our DR, it means maintaining our data sovereignty and being able to upgrade and move information inside our environment, maintaining our control over it. NetApp has been our incumbent provider for some time, and we've found that the tight integration and the low administration of that means we can effortlessly scale our environment to provide our service.
