Phoebe Goh has held a variety of roles in the IT industry, from system administrator to solutions architect, and has a passion for making complex technology approachable. Her role in the Technical Team Enablement Office at NetApp spans the globe and drives collaboration, innovation and excellence across the technical presales team. As a change-agent with an empathetic lens, Phoebe provides a fresh perspective to an industry that is moving faster than ever before.

I’m an ambivert and an engineer, it’s taken a lot of different experiences in order for me to realise that this is the most appropriate description for who I am though.\n\nI’ve always had a lot to say, I think being an engineer means I’m constantly looking for solutions to problems or analysing things to see how they could be done better, or sometimes just wondering why someone made a particular decision on how to build something.\n\nThen I want to chat about it.\n\nAs Chief Technology Evangelist (CTE), I provide guidance on NetApp’s strategy & technology to a diverse range of companies and our Partner Community.\n\nMy role as the CTE is not so much talking about how technology works but rather to get people interested enough so that they want to know how technology works.\n\nI am increasingly in demand as a keynote speaker, I am told that I have a way of combining my knowledge of the IT industry with anecdotes and stories that bring technology to life with witty, easily understandable examples.

I bring more than 30 years of experience as a customer, partner, practitioner, and strategist. I have been part of some of the biggest tech trends and waves in the industry. As a practitioner I grew up in the industry from modems to the internet, working through the challenges of transformation from within the IT organization. As a partner I have touched more variety, more innovation and again grew through transformation to cloud - private, hybrid, multi cloud and hybrid multi cloud. It is a thrill to help customers from their “why” to “why now” and deliver business changing outcomes. I have worked as an architect, leader, executive and strategist to align technology and services to maximize customer’s investments and returns…. Always seeking to optimize the use of data - securely, financially optimized and operationally efficient.
