Mike Foley serves as the Senior Technical Marketing Manager for ONTAP® Security at NetApp, Inc., where he leverages his extensive expertise to advance the company’s security solutions. Before joining NetApp in March 2024, Mike held the position of Senior Product Manager in the vSphere Group at VMware, focusing on vSphere Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), High Availability (HA), and vSphere with Tanzu High Availability. Previously, he was globally recognized as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for vSphere Security. Mike has authored numerous authoritative whitepapers on vSphere, hypervisor security, virtual machine encryption, and the vSphere Security Configuration Guide, contributing significantly to the field of virtualization and security.\nMike was awarded a patent (8,601,544) in December 2013 for “Dual-band authentication using the virtual infrastructure”. As of November 2020 Mike had two additional patents submitted.
