NetApp Workload Factory has expanded its capabilities to support Google Cloud through integrations with Google Cloud NetApp Volumes and Google Cloud VMware Engine. These additions streamline migrations by improving efficiency and reducing the time required to move data and VMware workloads to the cloud.
Google Cloud NetApp Volumes provides managed, cloud-native storage built for performance and reliability. By using this service, customers can migrate data with minimal disruption, avoiding extensive reconfiguration and reducing downtime—so critical operations can continue during the transition.
Google Cloud VMware Engine delivers a fully managed VMware environment on Google Cloud infrastructure, enabling customers to migrate existing VMware workloads while benefiting from Google Cloud’s scalability, security, and global footprint. When integrated with Workload Factory, the migration process is simplified, requiring less effort and causing less disruption.
Beyond operational improvements, the integration can also reduce costs by optimizing cloud resource usage and identifying opportunities to lower overall solution spend—while maintaining performance and reliability.
Additional details on NetApp Volumes are available in the product documentation.
