NetApp Workload Factory now provides a comprehensive resilience overview for database workloads running on FSx for ONTAP.
When running self-managed databases with FSx for ONTAP as the underlying storage, databases benefit from multiple layers of protection. These include: Database-native SQL backups, database-consistent and crash-consistent FSx for ONTSAP Snapshots, FSX for ONTAP backups, and FSX for ONTAP replications to another file system.
Workload Factory offers a centralized dashboard to monitor protection status for all these protection layers across the entire database estate, assisting in achieving RPO and RTO targets and highlighting any potential gaps.
When gaps are identified, Workload Factory recommends fixes and assists in remediation. This now includes seamless redirection to NetApp Backup and Recovery for easy activation of database-aware snapshots.
