Multi-VPC Peering for Google Cloud NetApp Volumes Flex service level

June 30th, 2025

Google Cloud NetApp Volumes, a fully managed file storage service in Google Cloud that provides high-performance, enterprise-grade file storage, announces a preview of capabilities to enable peering of multiple Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs). Starting today, customers can use NetApp Volumes across multiple isolated projects on non-shared Google VPCs by using Google Network Connectivity Center to manage many-to-many network peering relationships. This support allows enterprises to incorporate NetApp Volumes into their network topology without needing to rearchitect. Previously, such topologies could not use NetApp Volumes.

NetApp Volumes provide robust, scalable storage solutions that are essential for managing large datasets and applications across various cloud environments. By leveraging Google Network Connectivity Center, businesses can achieve seamless integration of these volumes, enhancing overall performance and efficiency. This capability is particularly advantageous for organizations aiming to maintain strict network isolation while still benefiting from shared storage resources.

With this new support, companies can simplify their network design and reduce administrative overhead. The ability to manage complex peering relationships easily means that network engineers can focus on optimizing performance and reliability rather than dealing with cumbersome configurations.
