Starting today, the Flex service level allows users to replicate data between two volumes in any two Google Cloud regions within a continent. Customers can now choose from a wider selection of Google cloud regions to replicate and improve data availability. With cross-regional replication groups, customers can configure replica pairs to match their specific business needs in regions they run their workload. Additionally, continental grouping avoids any negative side effects of cross-continental latency. Before today, Google Cloud NetApp Volumes Flex service levels offered replication between fixed pre-configured region pairs resulting in customers using self-managed storage options for other region pairs.
