Google Cloud NetApp Volumes, a fully managed, secure, and performant file storage service that supports SAP, Microsoft, and Linux-based applications, now offers the ability to define and enforce user and group storage capacity quotas. Once defined for a user or group, this capability provides simple controls enabling administrators to control costs and ensure storage is available to all users and groups. Quota rules can be created for specific Windows and Linux IDs on each volume.
Using storage without user and quotas can result in unexpected cloud usage expenses. Defining storage capacity utilization quotas provides Google Cloud administrators with greater control over their spending by limiting the amount of storage that specific users or departmental groups can consume.
Additional details on NetApp Volumes user and group quota capabilities is available in the product documentation.
