One Active Directory connection per NetApp account is now the default in Azure NetApp Files. Registration is no longer required to take advantage of this feature which became generally available (GA) in May 2025. Each NetApp account maintains its own Active Directory connection and allows connecting to its own Active Directory forest and domain, except those that were created as part of the preview of shared Active Directory connection.
