Optimize cloud costs, secure cloud configurations with Spot by NetApp and CloudCheckr.
A continued commitment to MORE CLOUD, LESS COST. Enabling customers and partners to optimize cloud costs, secure cloud configurations with Spot by NetApp and CloudCheckr
NetApp is growing, and our pending CloudCheckr acquisition will see us become a leading player in the FinOps space, we are augmenting and accelerating our Spot portfolio to address our customers’ and partners’ number one challenge: optimizing their cloud spend to move faster to the public clouds.
Our intent to acquire CloudCheckr, an exciting cloud cost and security management company formed in 2011 in Rochester NY that has risen to the top of the FinOps category, will be a game-changer for organizations seeking to control their cloud costs.
With 81% of organizations already running applications in the cloud, the number one question for businesses now is not why, when, or even how, but how much. CloudCheckr helps solve the issue that surveys say is topping the list of today’s customer and partner challenges: how to get control of their escalating cloud costs and maintain secure cloud configurations while moving faster to and on public clouds.
CloudCheckr will add cost visibility with automated actions, secure configurations, deep insights, and detailed reporting to our Spot portfolio’s continuous optimization. Spot and CloudCheckr will provide a market-leading solution for customers and partners who are seeking to address their highest priority challenges.
Organizations and partners in the private and public sectors will gain a leading solution for complete cloud cost management, workload automation, and optimization for VMs and containers. Organizations and partners can get CloudCheckr directly or through CloudCheckr’ successful platform for MSPs and distributors.
CloudCheckr adds value to our Spot portfolio, complementing Spot Eco, Ocean, Cloud Analyzer, and Spot PC capabilities, with cloud billing analysis and cloud configuration, monitoring, and assessments. Customers and partners will be better able to monitor, understand, and continuously optimize their cloud costs with the combined portfolio.
Leveraging CloudCheckr, Spot by NetApp will deliver a portfolio for cloud cost, security management and desktop as a service, designed to meet the unique needs of MSPs and cloud distributors. The combined CloudCheckr and Spot by NetApp FinOps solution will blend detailed billing and usage data for a cloud or multiple cloud environments, analytics highlighting cost-saving opportunities, secure configuration risks, and automated, continuous optimizations to help MSPs achieve their revenue, margin, and efficiency objectives—solving cloud problems on behalf of their customers.
We are excited about the addition of CloudCheckr. We know we need to keep ahead of the curve to ensure that we continue to expand our portfolio of services to meet the rapidly evolving needs of our customers and partners. What they are telling us now is that they need help finding ways to cut cloud costs while accelerating their cloud adoption.
To our combined customers and partners, our mission remains unchanged. Simply put, we deliver solutions that deliver more cloud @ less cost. You can count on us to continue to do just that. At NetApp, we understand the power of data and the power of the cloud. We know you need both to take your business to the next level, to stay ahead of your competition, and to meet the needs of your own employees and customers. We are continually innovating to give you every advantage as you seek new ways to achieve your business goals.
