The power of three

There are three rules for writing a novel. Unfortunately, no one knows what they are. —W. Somerset Maugham

Three is a powerful number. There are the Marketing Rules of Three. Further, good marketers understand universal truths, and the power of three is one of the truths. People like choices— just not too many of them. Studies show that people avoid making a choice when faced with too many options. It looks like three is just the right number.

If you’re looking for entertainment, consider these popular trios: Charlie’s Angels, the Three Stooges, and the ‘70s rock band Rush—especially Rush’s performance of Xanadu. A classic.

If you’re looking for information, check out the new NetApp® e-book, 3 Benefits of running your business-critical applications on NetApp. Not surprisingly, the e-book describes three benefits:

  1. Smart efficiencies: Optimize your infrastructure and take advantage of the cloud.
  2. Powerful performance: Accelerate your applications and services (NVMe).
  3. Trusted data protection: Protect your data and your business.
I won’t give away all of the good stuff in the e-book in this post. But if you’re looking at how to enhance customer and employee interaction with your SAP, Oracle, and SQL Server databases and applications, keep downtime at bay, and take advantage of what the cloud has to offer, then you need go no further than this e-book. It’s a quick and enlightening read—I promise.
