NetApp BlueXP is a unified control plane that delivers a simplified hybrid multicloud experience for storage and data services. As one of the cloud-based storage options on BlueXP, Cloud Volumes ONTAP for Google Cloud is now offered in three different capacity-tiered licensing packages. Now you can choose the usage that best supports your workload requirements.
The newest option is Cloud Volumes ONTAP Optimized, which is a capacity-based, cost-optimized licensing package that is ideal for high-capacity storage requirements. With Optimized, you pay only for the consumed storage capacity and I/O usage.
Cloud Volumes ONTAP offers the Optimized package as a low-cost licensing option for use cases that require infrequent access to data or that rely on long-term, large-capacity data storage. For example, suitable use cases are general-purpose file shares, media repositories, archives, backup and disaster recovery, big data, and e-discovery.
