This year’s Global Security Exchange (GSX) Conference was one for the books, with more than 550 exhibitors, 300 security courses, and countless opportunities to learn from and collaborate with leading industry professionals.
NetApp was joined by three of our partners, Pathway Technologies, UNICOM Government, and Stone Security, to showcase the latest end-to-end video surveillance solutions.
Pathway Technologies demonstrated how to consolidate customers’ NVR environments and how to use NetApp® E-Series storage to migrate seamlessly from legacy systems to next-generation video management solutions, without performance degradation. This joint solution offers improved performance and resiliency as well as reduced TCO.
UNICOM Government demonstrated how traditional security technologies, once a cost center, are becoming a source of revenue for gaming casinos. With the latest in machine learning and video analytics, casinos can enable next-generation facial recognition to augment staffing, guest loyalty, marketing, and customer relationship management, while mitigating losses from un-carded play. This is just one example of how UNICOM Government is helping companies monetize video surveillance expenditures. There are huge opportunities to do the same with event venues and in retail operations.
Our partners at Stone Security demonstrated our enterprise-grade video surveillance capabilities for video analytics. As a Milestone Diamond Partner, the company is a trusted systems integrator that provides end-to-end solutions for a variety of customers, especially for public sector entities.
We were also joined by representatives from the Open Security & Safety Alliance (OSSA), an initiative across the security and safety markets whose mission is to increase value for customers by collaborating on open standards and specifications for security and safety solutions. Because NetApp is a member of OSSA, our customers can be confident about the reliability and security of their data throughout the entire solution.
On the event floor, attendees were invited to receive a personalized demonstration from one of our video surveillance experts. Some of the most in-demand topics included:
