Intersight empowers the visibility aspect of FlexPod XCS. In this demo, we will cover the improved insight that Interite provides and take a look at the health metrics and firmware compliance all from the same web interface. The monitor section grants insight to the various devices in the FlexPod solution. In storage, we can see three widgets. storage version summary, top five utilized arrays, and top five utilized storage volumes. The fabric interconnects object gives us a summary of health. Contract status, the different models in use, and their respective firmware versions. The servers object gives us insight into server health, hardware compatibility, list validation, inventory, differentiating blades from rack servers, firmware,models in use, the contract status of all servers, and interite licensing status. Intersight provides a single pane of management in terms of monitoring NetApp storage. Under the operate section, we can see highle information such as networking configuration, software versions and data reduction. Under inventory we can see volumes, lawns, tiers, lawns, tiers, lawns, tiers, storage virtual machines, export policies,initiator groups and licenses. We can also drill down into nodes, disks and port information. Intersight enables centralized insight on the health of our environment. Under the integrated systems subsection, we can see the health of our servers, switches,storage, and hypervisor. Intersight can get very granular in terms of health information. In this example, we can drill down to the individual storage node of the array and check the various sensors as reported by ONAP. Intersight also reports various metrics for NetApp storage. Navigate to operate storage and select the array in question. The general object displays used and available capacity IOPSthroughputand an overall summary of what's going onthe array. Intersight allows us to ensure that devices meet versioning compliance. In this example, we will check one of our servers to ensure it meets Cisco's HCL. Let's navigate to integrated systems and select servers. We can see high-level information about this device and verify the HCL status. If the device were to fall out of compliance,clicking on the HCL object will give us more in-depth information as to what is out of compliance as well as a hyperlink to get recommended drivers. Once we click on the link, we can see all the server devices as well as their firmware and driver version. We can also validate the contract status of the Cisco integrated management controllers. Navigate to operate and select servers. Here you will see the health status as well as the contract status. A new feature within interite is the ability to check NetApp interoperability compliance. By navigating to integrated systems, we can select a flex pod and navigate to interoperability. When we select storage, we can quickly see the IMT status of our storage. Here we can see that both the A and B controllers are running an approved version. With the actions button, we can run an interoperability check to confirm that we are up to date. By enabling the single pane of management for various components, Interite provides unprecedented value to the FlexPod solution. Here we can see a high-level overview of the health of our servers, networking, storage, and hypervisor within the flex pod solution. Navigating to the inventory object, we get more in-depth views of each component. These include servers, networking,and storage. This includes VMware vsenter objects such as data centers, clusters,hosts,virtual machines, and data stores. Navigating back to the monitor section, let's check out the FlexPod object. This provides a tople overview of the entire solution.All the widgets that we reviewed previously are displayed on a single easy to use web page. I hope you enjoyed this tech demo.
