Matt Lawson is the Director of Solution Engineering for NetApp Federal, where he leads and works with engineering and sales teams supporting the US Federal Government, including Civilian Agencies, the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, and Federal System Integrators. His specialties include technical sales leadership, Enterprise AI, IT management and leadership, IT strategy, cloud infrastructure, cyber resiliency, and green data center initiatives. Prior to joining NetApp, Matt spent two decades in Education and the U.S. Public Sector, serving as Chief Technology Officer for a large state college system and later as Vice President for Information Technology at a Virginia college. Matt is a proud father of eight and makes his home in Richmond, Virginia.

Michael Ellis works as the Assistant Director of Computing at Western Oregon University.  During his 21 years at WOU, he has had numerous roles but currently focuses primarily on Cybersecurity.  At a smaller University, daily duties can range from CISO, security/infrastructure architect, SOC analyst and more.  Overseeing the network, storage and server team allows Michael to include security at every level in the technology stack.
