Instaclustr Managed Services are now generally available for Vector Index Acceleration on OpenSearch. This new capability brings GPU-accelerated vector index building powered by NVIDIA cuVS, NVIDIA's open source library for GPU-accelerated vector search. Customers can add a managed GPU node to their OpenSearch cluster through the Instaclustr Console. Vector index builds run on that node while search continues uninterrupted on the CPU nodes already in the cluster. Published benchmarks across the OpenSearch ecosystem report vector index builds up to 10× faster than CPU-only approaches.
