NetApp provides a free, global product take-back program for customers and partners. We also take back competitor products, if replaced by new NetApp products. We provide full traceability and chain of custody documentation and divert more than 99 percent of returned products from the landfill.

NetApp is subject to a wide range of regulations, and some states and countries have unique requirements for the management of e-waste. Under the EU’s Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulation, NetApp is responsible for the collection and disposal of any e-waste sold to a customer in Europe. Similarly in India, we have an External Producer Responsibility (EPR) plan.
