hi this is Anita DAV technical marketing engineer for Blu XP backup and recovery forVMS this is three-part demo Series where you will learn about blue XP backup and recovery for VMS for Amazon FSX for neab onab data stores that being said let's have a quick look at the overview so blue XP backup and recovery for VMS is a standalone virtual appliance that provides data protection services for VMS and data stores on VMware Cloud on AWS with NFS data stores on Amazon FSX for neab on Tab it's simple to deploy it has policy based backup management quick Restorations for VM and vmdks and it's built on a remote plug-in based plug-in based plug-in based architecture so let's have a quick look at the agenda as I mentioned this is three part demo series and as part one I'll be talking about installation of blue XP backup and recovery for VMS and in subsequent part I'll be talking about backup and restore for these data stores and VMS so prerequisite for this is that VMware cloud is already in place so I have this sddc in my lab available with one cluster and one host so these are the details and let's have a quick look at the settings and we will capture the details for vpar client from here so under V Center fqdn I have this fkn through which I'll be loging to the vparclient and let's also have a look at the Venter user credentials that will be available once this vmc is installed so let's use this credential and log into vpar clant okay so now we are into the vpar client let's install blue XP backup and recovery for VMS asmentioned earlier this is available in a OVA format so you just need to right click and say deploy ovf template but before that you need to download that OVA file from the net support site under downloads you'll see blue XP backup and recovery for VMS for that you need to log in through SS SSO credentials or for Amazon users we have a procedure available in the description of this video since this is first release we don't need to use the ISO file which is available for upgrade you will click on the tar file which is available over here go ahead and download that file for timeset I have one file already downloaded let's go ahead and look at the folder and what's available inside it so once you download it you will see that certificate folder as well as the OVA itself is available as part of that tarfile so under certificates you'll see root and intermediate certificates that are needed when you will be using this blue XP backup and recovery for VMS so let's now go back and say deploy ovf template either you can use the URL or local file so in our case we have already downloaded and kept it on the system so let's go ahead and upload the file let's click on the OVA file and then say open let's click next provide the name for the virtual machine select the destination compute resource and click next here you will see that the certificate is trusted because the certificates root and intermediate that were available with the tar file have already added them to the trusted root certificate under Administration option so click next here accept the license agreement and say next select the storage where you want this virtual Appliance to be installed and say next select the network and again say next you need to add few parameter details over here which include V Center credentialsthat you can use to access blue XP backup and recovery for VM and the maintenance user password since I'm going to use DCP option host name and other details are not required but if you're using static IPS for this you need to provide all these details including net mask Gateway primary DNS and so on currently we don't supportIPv6 so let's just keep it as it is and clicknext you review all the details available over here and say finish that's it the installation should be started now go to the recent task I'm fast forwarding this and you can see the progress see blue XP backup and Recovery vm's installation is in progress and now this is completed you can see that blue XP VM is up and running over here click on the three bars over here and youwill start seeing blue XP backup and recovery for VMS so this is installed successfully and that concludes part one of this demo Series in subsequent parts I'll be talking about backup and restore of this VMS and vmdks please do watch part two and part three of this demo series thank you so much
