The not-for-profit Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS) consortium drives the development, convergence, and adoption of open standards for a broad range of information technologies. OASIS produces more Web services standards than any other organization, along with standards for security, e-business, the public sector, and application-specific markets. Founded in 1993, OASIS has more than 5,000 participants representing more than 600 organizations and individual members in 100 countries.
NetApp is a contributing member of OASIS and an active participant in two OASIS technical committees:
- Key Management Interchange Protocol (KMIP) technical committee, which is working on an encryption key management interoperability protocol. NetApp is co-chair of this committee.
- Topology and Orchestration Specification for Cloud Applications (TOSCA) technical committee, which is working on a cloud application orchestration framework.
