Congratulations to the Winners of the 2012 NetApp Innovation Awards!

    We believe NetApp is extremely fortunate to have a community of customers who share their enthusiasm for our company and technology. In all, we received more than 200 submissions for our award categories from executive and IT champions spanning 16 countries and a wide range of public and private sector organizations. Our prestigious panel of judges from the business community and the world's top business and technology media were challenged to determine this year’s winners.

    Below are the 2012 winners in each of the seven categories: Innovator of the Year – Americas, Innovator of the Year – APAC, Innovator of the Year – EMEA, Innovator of the Year – US Public Sector, Flexibility Innovation, Efficiency Innovation, and Visionary Leadership.

    2012 Innovator of the Year Award Winners
    Americas Winner: 
    Mercy Healthcare System
    Mercy is the eighth largest Catholic health care system in the U.S. and serves more than 3 million people annually. Mercy includes 31 hospitals, more than 200 outpatient facilities, 38,000 co-workers and 1,600 integrated physicians in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. Mercy also has outreach ministries in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.

    Asia Pacific (APAC) Winner: 
    Oxigen Services India Pvt. Ltd.
    Oxigen Services India Pvt. Ltd. is India's first and largest payments solutions provider. The company aggregates and distributes a plethora of services and handles aggregation and distribution of prepaid services like mobile recharge, bill payments, ticketing and subscriptions for all leading telecom operators, direct-to-home TV operators, internet broadband service providers, railways/airlines/bus/movie ticketing, bill payments (for utilities, post-paid bills, landline bills), prepaid value-added services, subscription services for magazines, donations, calling cards, Nokia music, insurance, and a large bouquet of banking services on a single platform. Oxigen has a retail footprint of 100,000 outlets and does 20 million transactions per month. Oxigen has joint hands with SBI for enablement of kiosk banking at Oxigen outlets and Yes Money for money transfer services. We have just rolled out India’s first full service eWallet, SBI’sMobiCash, with cash-in/out, peer to peer, wallet to any bank, merchant payments as well. Oxigen is in partnership with Blue Label Telecom (South Africa). Apart from the retail footprint of Oxigen outlets, Oxigen services are also dispensed from modern retail chains, such as The Electronic Store, The Mobile Store , Planet M, Next, Croma, One Mobile, Sify Iways, P3, KayBee’s and many CSCs. Oxigen has its head office at Gurgaon, India and employs approximately 350 people. ;

    Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Winner: 
    T-Systems is Deutsche Telekom’s corporate customer arm. Using a global infrastructure of data centers and networks, T-Systems operates information and communication technology (ICT) systems for multinational corporations and public sector institutions. With offices in over 20 countries and global delivery capabilities, T-Systems serves companies in all industries – from the automotive industry to telecommunications, the financial sector, retail, services, media, energy and the manufacturing industry all the way to government agencies and the healthcare sector.

      US Public Sector Winner:
    Iowa Workforce Development
    Iowa Workforce Development (IWD), an agency of the Iowa state government, strives to improve the income, productivity, and safety of all Iowans, and particularly employers, employees, and the unemployed. Through a comprehensive statewide system of employment services, education, and regulation of health, safety, and employment laws, IWD helps Iowans take control of their economic future and the security of their families. The majority of IWD services are mandated by state and federal laws and regulations. The importance of providing diverse employment services to the workforce of Iowa remains high. With close to 90,000 unemployed Iowans, the state of Iowa’s unemployment rate is 5.7 percent overall and nearly 25 percent for soldiers returning from active duty. In one year, IWD offices served nearly 250,000 individuals.
