We integrate sustainability throughout our operations, at all our locations. Recognition for our efforts includes:
- Our Sunnyvale, California, corporate headquarters was named a Green Business by the County of Santa Clara and has eight U.S. EPA-certified ENERGY STAR® buildings and two LEED-certified buildings.
- Our Global Dynamic Lab (GDL) in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, received an ENERGY STAR rating and the 2010 Triangle Business Journal Green Award for Commercial New Construction.
- A number of our renovated field offices have achieved LEED-CI Silver or Gold status.
Highlights of our sustainable operations include:
- Our Sunnyvale campus reduced power consumption and improves energy efficiency through co-generation technologies and by participating in Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s automated demand response (ADR) program.
- Our waste management program focuses on reducing the volume of disposable materials used at our offices—leading to diversion rates of greater than 75% at our largest facilities.
- We encourage employees to lessen their carbon footprints and cut the total number of vehicle trips per employee per day. In 2013, our Sunnyvale campus installed 30 Level II electric vehicle chargers.
- NetApp encourages employee engagement and new ideas for sustainable operations through seminars, events, and online outlets.
