Deborah Perry Piscione is an innovation process expert, a seasoned Silicon Valley entrepreneur, and New York Times bestselling author. She is a Principal and cofounder at Vorto Consulting, a Silicon Valley-based boutique consulting firm dedicated to enabling companies to innovate and grow and specializes in innovation process and talent development, where she and her colleagues provide custom engagements and innovation boot camps for Fortune 500 companies.
Deborah is a New York Times bestselling author of The Risk Factor: Why Every Organization Needs Big Bets, Bold Characters and the Occasional Spectacular Failure (January, 2015) and Secrets of Silicon Valley: What Everyone Else Can Learn From the Innovation Capital of the World (Palgrave Macmillan, 2013).
Deborah is also an Internet entrepreneur, board advisor and nationally-recognized speaker. As a former congressional and White House staffer, she spent over a decade as a media commentator on CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, Fox News, PBS, and NPR programs, and her work has been covered in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, and Forbes.
Prior to her move to Silicon Valley in 2006, Deborah spent 18 years in Washington, DC as a staffer in the U.S. Congress and The White House in addition to serving as a lobbyist.
