Innovation Awards

The NetApp Innovation Awards recognize NetApp customers who have helped their companies, through innovative deployment of NetApp products and solutions.

Award recipients are honored for achieving positive business results using NetApp, demonstrating creativity and thought leadership in storage best practices, and embodying the NetApp "can do" and "create a model company" spirit. NetApp Innovation Award categories include:

Enterprise
Any customer worldwide that has deployed NetApp systems to power data center, workgroup, department, collaborative, HPC, or enterprise applications (Oracle, SAP, SQL Server, or Exchange) and can demonstrate that they are doing something new and innovative with NetApp products.
Public Sector
Any customer worldwide in government (city, state, country, federal, county, and so on), public association, educational institution, or military/defense organization that has deployed NetApp systems to power data center, workgroup, department, collaborative, HPC, or enterprise applications (Oracle, SAP, SQL Server, or Exchange) and can demonstrate that it is doing something new and innovative with NetApp products may apply.
Green
Any customer worldwide that has used NetApp technology in its data center in a way that has measurably reduced power, the data center footprint, or energy costs and/or made it possible for a company to delay building additional data centers may apply.
Individual
Any individual within a customer organization who has achieved business success through innovation with NetApp solutions or has championed streamlined solutions within the IT organization may apply.

In addition to these categories, the top nominations from all categories will be judged in a special Innovator of the Year category, which will recognize one winner from each of the following three global geographies: Americas, APAC, and EMEA.

Companies can nominate themselves or be nominated by NetApp sales, channel, or technology partners; other companies; or colleagues through the online submission forms. All nominations must be received by midnight Pacific Time on Friday, December 4, 2009, to be eligible for consideration. One winner from each category will be selected by a third-party panel of judges and will be notified no later than February 19, 2010.

Each category winner will be recognized during an awards ceremony in San Jose, California, May 19-21, 2010. Winners must be present at the awards ceremony to be eligible to receive the award (travel and accommodations will be provided by NetApp). Any channel partner who nominates a winning NetApp customer will also be invited to the event.
