Rob Salmon is the executive vice president of Worldwide Field Operations at NetApp, where he oversees both sales and services to ensure their alignment for customers’ success. Rob started at NetApp as a sales rep in 1994, believing that sales is about adding value to the customer. With this focus, he progressed through the roles of regional manager, area manager, and vice president of Sales to his current position, where he leads NetApp’s global field organization with the philosophy "Do what’s right for the customer and the business will follow."
Rob has been a key contributor to the company since its early days and has continually focused his efforts on initiatives that contribute to customers’ success and the company's growth.
Prior to joining NetApp, Rob held various sales positions at Sun Microsystems and Data General Corporation. He holds a bachelor of science degree in Computer Science from California State University, Chico.
