NetApp and Tech Data Go North of the Border to Deliver StoreVault™ Solutions to SMBs in Canada

Sunnyvale, Calif. - May 29, 2007 -- StoreVault, a NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) division, today announced an agreement with Tech Data Corporation (NASDAQ: TECD) to distribute NetApp® StoreVault storage solutions to small and medium businesses (SMB) in Canada. As part of the agreement, Tech Data will recruit and help authorize value-added resellers (VARs) to act as the trusted advisors for this vast market of Canadian customers looking for StoreVault storage solutions.

According to IDC, "with more than 1 million business, SMB organizations, with 1-500 employees, represent one of the fastest growing customer segments within the Canadian networked storage market," says Marc Perrella, vice president, Technology Group, IDC Canada. "SMBs are facing the same challenges as larger organizations-they need to deal with the unabated growth in data and simplify their data management and administration while improving operational efficiencies across both IT and the business."

The StoreVault S500 is a scalable all-in-one networked storage appliance that is customized for SMBs at a price point that fits SMB budgets. With its intuitive Windows® graphical user interface, the StoreVault S500 is easy to install and simple to manage, while providing enterprise-class networked storage functionality. The StoreVault S500 has been deployed across a wide range of industries to solve the growing customer challenges of data growth, data protection, and data management.

"We're happy to expand our distribution relationship with NetApp StoreVault and build on our success and momentum in the U.S.," said Greg Myers, vice president of marketing, Tech Data. "It's clear that SMBs in Canada are facing the same challenges with their critical business data. As a result, Canadian SMBs rely on IT resellers as their trusted advisors and solution architects to deploy innovative, cost-effective storage solutions to meet their business needs. As more SMBs move to networked storage, StoreVault will provide our VAR customers the solutions they need to meet the growing demand in this market."

Through its channel program, StoreVault has established a team of dedicated sales and technical specialists to support StoreVault resellers purchasing through Tech Data. Resellers can access the StoreVault Web portal, where they can begin the authorization process, register deals, purchase preconfigured or customized solutions, look up special promotions, and view valuable training, sales, and marketing tools. The StoreVault Web portal can be found at http://silverpartners.netapp.com/register.aspx.

"We're very excited about StoreVault availability in the Canadian market," said Karl Kennie, CEO, Root Cellar Technologies. "NetApp has a solid reputation in building a focused SMB channel program to enable VAR success in the SMB market. With no direct sales force, StoreVault has created a channel model that partners such as ourselves can trust, and that protects the margins and value-add we bring to our SMB customers. Not to mention that StoreVault is bringing enterprise storage expertise to the SMB segment with an innovative solution that we believe will get a lot of attention from our Canadian customers."

"We have seen an overwhelming response from VARs and potential end users in Canada since our introduction in the U.S. last year," said Sajai Krishnan, general manager of StoreVault. "There has been pent-up demand for the StoreVault S500, given our success in the U.S. market. As StoreVault continues to build momentum in the SMB marketplace and expand our market presence, Tech Data and our VAR partners will be critical contributors to our continued success and, specifically, our extension into Canada to complement our current market and channel coverage."
