Introduction to Networked Storage
Speaker: Drew Meyer, product marketing manager, StoreVault
Date: Monday, April 16, 2007
Time: 1:00 p.m.
Location: Las Vegas Convention Center S226

With an explosion of opportunities in audio and video, small and medium businesses are finding more challenges in managing and storing volumes of production data. Today's AV pro network typically includes very powerful client computers with significant numbers of direct-attached storage "islands," RAID devices, and servers that provide capacity, but they all increase complexity and risk and sacrifice performance and function while wasting dollars. This presentation is intended for first-time networked-storage users, those considering investing in high-end storage, and those unfamiliar with networked storage.
