NetApp Delivers Significant Total-Cost Advantages Over EMC Celerra for Windows® File Services Consolidation

NTAP) today announced that the cost of owning NetApp
enterprise-class storage solutions for Windows file services
environments is lower than that of competing offerings from EMC,
according to a total cost comparison (TCC) study conducted by
Mercer Management Consulting.
The goal of the study was to identify the
total cost of acquiring, deploying, operating, and managing EMC
Celerra and NetApp FAS environments, based on typical
configurations and storage management policies. This report will
help customers who have already decided to perform Windows file
services consolidation, choose between NetApp and EMC. The findings
included in the study are based exclusively on actual cost data
provided by network storage administrators and IT managers from
midsized and large enterprises across various industries in Europe
and North America.
