Arrow Electronics Launches Network Appliance™ PartnerEdge Training and Incentive Program
Englewood, Colo. - April 27, 2005 -
Enterprise Storage Solutions, a division of the North American
Computer Products group of Arrow Electronics, Inc. [NYSE: ARW], has
launched a comprehensive education and incentive program dedicated
to NetApp® PartnerEdge. This partner relationship management
(PRM) system, developed by Network Appliance, Inc. for its channel
partners, will consist of a suite of tools and services created
exclusively for resellers to help them bring a premier portfolio of
enterprise storage solutions to their customers.
PartnerEdge is designed to make the sales
process faster and easier for reseller partners. The PRM system
streamlines and automates the process by providing real-time
visibility of quotes and configuration models and improved pricing
and discounting features. PartnerEdge also offers real-time, online
collaboration with NetApp, the Arrow sales teams and resellers to
better manage channel business.
"Already, we've seen overwhelming response to
our PartnerEdge Webcast training, with the majority of our partners
participating," said Lance Sedlak, director of marketing,
Enterprise Storage, Arrow Electronics. "We're now going to expand
the program nationally and provide in-person training using our
systems engineers trained by NetApp."
Over the next few months, Arrow will deliver
several in-person-training sessions at select partner sites. The
first two Webcasts hosted by Arrow occurred in early April, with
more than 100 reseller partners in attendance.

for our channel partners to do business with NetApp - to buy from
NetApp, to sell for NetApp, to close sales quickly and most
importantly to support customers," said Leonard Iventosch, vice

PartnerEdge, resellers have a free-flowing communication link
between NetApp, Arrow and the customer. New partners can ramp up
quickly by using unique programs designed exclusively for our
resellers who are actively growing their storage practices."
Arrow has also devised an incentive component
to support NetApp authorized resellers using PartnerEdge. Once
participants complete the computer-based training program they are
required to create and configure a sample quote. Those participants
who create a configuration with three or fewer errors will receive
a cash prize.
