RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, North Carolina-September 27, 2010-NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) today announced that it ranks #1 on the Triangle Business Journal's annual "Best Places to Work" in Research Triangle Park (RTP) list for 2010. NetApp received this honor for the Giant Business category, which includes companies of 1,000 employees or more; it marks the sixth time that NetApp has made this distinguished list and the second time it has been ranked #1. NetApp employees based in RTP responded to a confidential survey from the publication, giving the company high marks for its team-oriented work environment, exceptional people practices, strong executive leadership, and effective managerial relationships.

NetApp first opened its RTP location in 1999, and in 2005 expanded operations with the opening of the NetApp RTP Technology Center. NetApp continued its growth by unveiling the RTP Dynamic Data Center in 2009. The facility expands NetApp's engineering and development efforts in the region to create and improve storage efficiency and cloud-enabling technologies. The state-of-the-art data center's innovative design and construction have set the industry standard for energy efficiency; recently the center became the first data center to earn the Environmental Protection Agency's prestigious ENERGY STAR® certification. Today NetApp has 1,050 full and part-time employees in the region, including a 24x7 global service and support center, along with engineering and inside sales organizations.
