Dan Warmenhoven, NetApp Executive Chairman, Receives Leader's Legacy Award from Santa Clara University Business School
Sunnyvale, Calif.-May 3,
2010-NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) today announced that NetApp
Executive Chairman Dan Warmenhoven was honored with the prestigious
Leader's Legacy award by the Santa Clara University Business School
at an awards ceremony held on May 1, 2010, at the school's
campus.
Created three years ago, the Leader's Legacy
award honors business leaders, government officials, and nonprofit
leaders who create a legacy that has a positive effect on all
members of their organization. The recipients' work exemplifies the
concept of "legacy" as outlined by the book "A Leader's Legacy,"
written by the school's former dean, Barry Posner, and Jim Kouzes.
A nominating committee considers how leaders inspire a shared
vision, lead the way, overcome challenges, enable others to act,
and create a culture of celebrating values and victories.
"My aspiration when I joined NetApp 15 years
ago was to help it become a 'model company,' one that produced
innovative products that customers love, outstanding financial
return to shareholders, and a great place to work for our
employees," said Warmenhoven. "At NetApp, these are well
established, and I'm honored to be recognized for the hard work all
our employees have put into what continues to be the model of a
collaborative and productive workplace."
